As the weather gets colder, especially as the snow falls from the sky further north than me, your dog may need some extra insulation from brutal conditions on their walks and trips to the dog park.  Since I have long hair and I am almost as big as a horse, Mom rarely dresses me, but my brother, Tax and sister, Molly are short-haired dogs.  They each have sweaters and coats for trips outside in the winter.  In fact, my cousin, Nathalie has a whole box full of clothes to choose from.  I think she does it more for the fashion.  Anyway, if you dog is shivering or remaining cold for a long time after your outings, you should consider bundling them up too.
