Happytails Dog Smog: Curtailing Emissions from Both Ends

30 01 2009

After the fun I had guest-posting over at Lola’s blog, I asked her to guest-post here as well.  Having other dogs write certainly takes the pressure off.

We can all relate to sitting in a room with friends when, all of a sudden, an unbearable smell fills the air. Yes, an odor that will make any dog or human roll on the floor and play dead.  Leaving you saying “Oh my goodness, what’s that smell” as everyone sniffs around for the culprit, all the while peering at each other with intense looks trying to figure out who dealt it. Unfortunately, if your pup is like me that not-so-good poker face gives him or her away, only to draw pointed fingers from all the humans in the room.

Yes, that adorable, oh sooo lovable canine that just can’t help but contribute to your household air pollution, referring to gas that is. Some may snicker while others may plug their noses gagging, wishing they had brought a gas mask, leaving you and your dog feeling embarrassed. No one likes to be at the butt of a gag joke, okay some pun intended. I just couldn’t help myself. Well I will be first to admit that sometimes I break wind, I guess no one is immune. Not even my poker face can save me from the embarrassment.
But back to the serious & smelly matter at hand, nothing says, “Welcome” to your dinner guest than a gassy dog. That sometimes noisy and silent killer can really dampen a party leaving your guest scurrying to the corner or the nearest open window. Unless, you have the Guinness record for holding your breath than you may find yourself spraying air fresheners or lighting a candle. But even after spray after spray or wick after wick the smell may continue to linger, like a dirty pair of gym socks, unsuspecting stink bomb or road kill. Perhaps the stench of last night’s Mexican Fiesta leftovers, which your dog happened to feast on during a garbage raid, while you were at work. Which might I add was a covert operation your dog had been planning for days.

Like humans, even the most well mannered show dog gets gassy after a meal. But a gassy dog odor is all too familiar in my household, and the smell memorable to say the least. I don’t know about all you pups out there but my stomach has a mind of its own with its incessant gurgling stomach noises. Flatulence is caused by a digestive problem where the food is not being digested properly due to insufficient digestive enzymes, but for some dogs it comes with age. Keep in mind that gas is a natural part of being a dog, and you will never be fully gone of the sounds & smells. But you can take preventive action against those unpleasant odors that erupt from the other end like Old Faithful.

Not to mention that your dog has that not so kissable doggy breath to match, which does not bode well for first impressions. Especially, if the dinner guests are your soon to be in laws that you are meeting for the first time. Not your idea of breaking the ice! The unpleasant odor is leaving you wondering where his mouth has been or what died. Perhaps your dog has mistaken the left up toilet lid as an invitation to quench his thirst, even the most sophisticated dog has thought about it. So what’s a person to do?
There is a wonderful natural product that can help curtail a dog’s odor from both ends and help provide a defense against nasal assault. So now you can breathe a sigh of relief. No really go ahead and take a deep breath. If you don’t believe me just ask my parents who can’t stop raving about Happytails Dog Smog Remedy. No longer do I have to hide my face in shame, hold my breath, or plug my nose with a close pin. Whether it’s coming from your hound or your husband, nothing clears the room faster than those inappropriate gaseous emissions (IGE).

Now Happytails has help for one of those offenders. Dog Smog Remedy is dual purpose and gives you the power to quell the smell from both ends of your dog. No need to light a match.

The all natural formula contains peppermint and fennel to slay the fire breathing beast but it’s more than just a breath freshener. Dog Smog Remedy gets to the guts of the problem with herbal extracts of dill, parsley, ginger and bromelain. All of these ingredients help calm the bubbling brute below and provide a long-term solution to an embarrassing, yet smelly problem. The best part is that it contains no SLS or Parabens, is cruelty free and comes in recyclable packaging.
